Wm. Fish Family Vault

This partially subterranean 1840s vault contains the remains of 6 people. The story is that if you knock on the door, ask Mr. Fish what he is doing in there, and listen at the crack, you will get an answer to your question.

The vault was repaired in 2008. Inside the vault were discovered Mr. Wm. Fish; Sarah Harvard Fish; Horace Virgil Fish (age 5 and son of William and Sarah Fish); Unknown male age 40 to 55 years old; Unknown child age 12 to 24 months old; and Unknown child age 3 to 9 months old. Sarah Harvard Fish is in a Fisk Burial Case, which is an iron casket with a window over the face covered with a metal face plate. A shelf around the wall on the inside of the vault holds the remains.
